Today’s Ténéré models shine in many rallies and carry travelers on unforgettable journeys around the world. Get yourself and your ultimate adventure bike ready to create memories that last during the Travel Trophy.
ADVENTURE IS AROUND THE CORNER
Take this opportunity to travel alongside other Ténéré riders and explore new places together on an unforgettable journey. Every travel day you will be provided with different kinds of routes and points of interest. You can choose to get your boots dirty on the off road tracks or stay on the tarmac to enjoy paved winding roads. Ride alone, with family, friends or strangers who will become friends. Take a break at the “Ténéré Turn Off” for a road side coffee while you share your stories with other riders or stretch your legs at a breathtaking view point while others pass by.
The Travel Trophy is designed in a way to give you the ultimate feeling of freedom. It’s all up to you, to spend the daily travel stages the way you prefer.
BECOME THE NR 1 TÉNÉRÉ TRAVELER
The team of Yamaha Motor created a series of challenges in search of the #1 Ténéré Traveler. This person can be described as flexible and self-reliant. A team player with loads of relevant knowledge. A curious mind with an infinite urge for adventure.
Participate in daily challenges to measure your knowledge and skills. Collect points to climb in the ranking and ultimately become the winner of the Travel Trophy. The top 3 Ténéré Travelers will be rewarded with great prizes and eternal fame. Will you be the one who is bringing the Travel Trophy home?
SET YOUR OWN PACE
Start behind a waving race flag each morning. Navigate your way towards the finish line. After a day in the saddle or on the footpegs, you’ll arrive at Ténéré Town. Soak up the bustling atmosphere of the bivouac while riders arrive after the daily stage. Experience it all during the Travel Trophy, without the race element of a rally.
The stages were made from an adventure rider’s perspective. This results in challenging routes, with a variety of remarkable highlights to enjoy. Your time spent between start and finish has no consequences for the ranking, set your own pace throughout the days.
PUSH YOUR LIMITS
The Travel Trophy is designed for riders with off road experience. To make sure everyone gets the maximum out of themself and their Ténéré, the first day of the Travel Trophy is an experience day full of master classes, clinics and rideouts to sharpen your skills for the journey ahead.
During the 5 stages you can expect routes off the beaten track, a combination of paved and unpaved sections. The unpaved sections exist mostly of double tracks and some single tracks, river crossings and unpaved mountain passes. For every off road section, there will be an on road alternative. This way, beginner off road riders can take paved detours when they find their limits.
TÉNÉRÉ TOWN
After you cross the finish flag of that day’s stage, you ride into the bivouac at a new location. You can pitch your tent and get refreshed with a shower. Take your time to relax with a refreshing drink and enjoy the local gastronomy. Share your stories around the campfire and finally sleep in your tent underneath the stars. The bivouac, which is called Ténéré Town, is the place to be at the end of each stage.
If you don’t like camping and prefer more luxury, we still like you to participate. You can book a room each night. Sometimes this is possible at the finish location, but always in close proximity.
